I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Jordan and Andrew met in Middle School. She called “Dibs on the new kid” after interviewing him for the newspaper, when Hurricane Katrina moved his family from Louisiana to Temple, Texas. These two middle school sweethearts were announced Prom King and Queen their senior year of high school and survived a long distance relationship while they attended college in different states. They got married in the same church they both grew up in and are now officially Mr. and Mrs.
After the bridal party was dressed and ready, they jumped into a Limo that drove them across town to St. Luke’s Catholic Church.
There were SO MANY HAPPY TEARS as everyone waited for Jordan to walk down the aisle to be given away by her dad.
I’d say Andrew was pretty happy to finally be wearing a wedding band, given to him by his girlfriend of almost ten years!
After giving fist bumps on their way back down the aisle as man and wife, Jordan and Andrew had a traditional wedding exit leaving the church through tossed rose petals.
After being announced into their wedding reception, Jordan and Andrew shared their first dance as man and wife.
The tears continued through their special dances with their parents and toasts.
Andrew and the groomsmen had one more surprise for Jordan! They had a mash-up dance that they performed just for Jordan on her wedding day! It was FABULOUS!!!
I have way too many funny faces captured of these newlyweds as they cut their wedding cake!
Being from Louisiana, Andrew wanted to include a traditional Second Line in their wedding reception and I’m SO GLAD they did! I love when couples choose to include personal details into their wedding day!
Jordan’s mom and dad and Andrew’s mom and dad shared a special dance just to themselves. If I remember correctly, Jordan’s parents didn’t get to have a first dance, so this was an extra special moment for them! It’s so great that Andrew and Jordan chose to honor their parents in such a way. Their parents shaped and molded BOTH of them as they grew up and have loved them into who they are today. They helped them throw an EPIC party and deserved just a brief moment to soak in the day, together, with their life partner. Andrew and Jordan, THANK YOU for inviting Dylan and me to document the first day of the rest of your lives! We loved the laid back atmosphere y’all created with your friends and family, who welcomed us with open arms! We loved all the special details and moments y’all included in your big day and are honored that we got to celebrate alongside y’all! THANK YOU for allowing us to share our anniversary weekend with y’all! We had SO MUCH fun at y’all’s wedding!
