Cody came home to his apartment one day to find two individuals had broken in.  One, a neighbor of his, got in to show her friend, Kelsey, her neighbor’s new puppy, Sadie Grace.  Cody forgave the two and eventually asked Kelsey out.  Their first date included watching the movie “Elf” and I would dare to guess that Smiling is their favorite, too!

Of course, they brought the sweet puppy that brought them together in a chance meeting.  

I thought it was cute that the park we met at for their engagement photos was named “Lover’s Leap.”  It’s named after an Indian Legend, where a couple rebells against their tribe’s tradition and choose love over tradition, running off together by leaping into the River.    

Cody proposed to Kelsey at the Lake, with a box of keepsakes from their relationship.  Inside the box was her engagement ring, as well!  So, we had to incorporate some of the lake in their engagement photos! 

I was so happy that we were able to get a touch of fall colors in their engagement session!  

Inscribed on the inside of Kelsey’s engagement ring is “C<3K  Matthew 6:33.”  The Bible verse reads “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”  I absolutely LOVE that!  Putting GOD first in marriage is so important.  

We ended their engagement session at Waco’s Suspension Bridge.  

Kelsey and Cody, thank you so much for hanging out with me last Thursday and showing me around Waco!  I had a ton of fun with the two of you and cannot wait for your Gabriel Springs Wedding in May!  I know it’s going to be a wonderful day for y’all!
