Beth and Juston have a fun start to their love story!  Their first date was watching “Elf” with cookie cake while they both attended University of the Incarnate Word.  After that, he asked her out for a second date EVERY WEEK.  She told him no for a month!  When she finally said yes to the second date, he took her to a Josh Abbott Band Concert.  While most would have given up, Juston says he knew he wanted to marry Beth the second he saw her.  AWWWWW!  His perseverance paid off!  The two are trying the knot in October!

While on a camping trip to Big Bend, Juston and Beth decided to conquer the hardest hike on the first day they were there.  On the way back down, a huge storm blew in.  More than the rain, thunder, and muddy trails, the hike was miles longer than they had planned for, so it was also dark as they made the descent.  Not only were they physically tired from the day of hiking, Beth was disappointed that Juston didn’t propose to her while they were at the highest peak overlooking the park – and she let him know about it.  Little did she know, Juston DID have the ring with him!  The next day, while on the Window Trail, Juston dropped to a knee and asked Beth to be his wife.  

We took their McKinney Falls engagement photos this past Sunday.  They chose the State Park, since that is where they like to spend time and they got engaged in a State Park!  I think McKinney Falls was the perfect spot for these two adventure seekers AND the weather was beautiful, despite the threat of rain earlier in the day!

The very first piece of decoration that Beth and Juston purchased for their future home together is this wooden sign that quotes 1 John 4:19.  It reads “We love because He first loved us.”  I truly believe that if you put GOD first in your marriage, everything else will fall into place.

We were SO EXCITED to find out that it is offically Bluebonnet Season!  What a great surprise for their McKinney Falls engagement photos!!
