Welcome
Eric says he knew he was going to marry Colleen the moment he met her, but she wasn’t convinced in that moment. It wasn’t until months later, when the two reconnected at a party that she thought there might be more. Eric bought Colleen an engagement ring only months after dating her, because he knew. He proposed to Colleen using an Easter Egg hunt that her family does every year. Her mom insisted that Colleen and her sister open the baskets separately, even though they always have the same thing in their baskets. Except this year, there was something extra special tucked inside an egg only found in Colleen’s basket. When Colleen realized what was happening, her first response was “are you sure?” The two are planning a Spring wedding in the Texas Hill Country.
One of the things that is super special to me about being the one to photograph Colleen and Eric’s wedding at The Terrace Club next Spring is that Dylan and I photographed Colleen’s sister’s wedding a couple of years ago. It’s so neat to be able to reconnect with the families of our past brides and to already know them. I feel like it helps us to better document the day, knowing the family and their relationships to one another. Also, there is no greater compliment to us than when our past brides and grooms refer us to their loved ones! That’s how we know we’re doing something right – when our couples want to share us with their friends, family, and sisters!
When Colleen stepped out in this rose gold sequin gown by Badgley Mischka for the second half of their engagement photos at The Vineyard at Florence, you can bet there was a happy photographer dance! This dress was just perfect for her!
Eric did a fabulous job picking out Colleen’s engagement ring!
Colleen and Eric, thank you so much for meeting me at The Vineyard at Florence for your engagement photos! I had so much fun with the two of you and watching y’all interact! Y’all were such a joy to photograph and I can’t wait to get y’all back in front of my camera on your wedding day!
