Blythe and Cale drove up to Austin, Texas to celebrate their ten year wedding anniversary!  While in town, I had the joy and honor of photographing this new chapter in their lives together.  Since they describe themselves as city folk, and were staying at Hotel San Jose on South Congress, we started with the famous “I Love You So Much” mural!  It was the best place to start a ten-year SoCo anniversary session!

One of the hard things about shooting in such a popular area (who doesn’t enjoy hanging out on South Congress?!?!) is that you’re likely to have photo-bombers in your background or people watching you as you roll through poses.  These two didn’t let that deter them one bit and I was so impressed with their ability to just go with it!  It was pretty funny that we got “run-off” at every single location we went to this afternoon.  Mostly, there was a line forming behind us at each mural, so we knew we couldn’t stay too long at any one of them.

This next one is one of my favorites, as it shows so much of their fun personality!  We got to know each other a little, as I rode with them from destination to destination around Austin.

Blythe and Cale met while attending ACU.  Their proposal story is still one that makes the two of them giggle, even after ten years of marriage.  Cale said he didn’t really have a plan for the proposal and was just going to wing it.  However, Blythe found the ring a little sooner than Cale had intended, when the ring fell out of his pocket accidentally.  In that moment, the two became engaged.

Blythe and Cale, thank you so much for making the trip to Austin for your SoCo Anniversary Session!  I had a ton of fun taking these photos for y’all and am so glad we were able to include some of the most popular murals for y’all to remember this milestone of an anniversary!
