Kirsten and Evan met in high school, but didn’t see the full potential of their friendship until the two went their separate ways for college.  After reconnecting on Facebook, the two started dating long distance.  From there, it didn’t take long until Kirsten found herself switching schools and moving to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech, where Evan was.  After 3 years of dating, the two are now planning a fall wedding.  Last week, I had the joy of being their Vineyard at Florence wedding engagement photographer.  Here are some of my favorites!

Originally, we had planned to shoot their engagement photos where they got engaged.  However, when they checked out the location closer to the date we had scheduled, they found that most of the park was prepped for winter.  With no color left in the tress there, they opted to switch locations to the Vineyard at Florence and it was a great call!  Those vines bring so much color to their images!

Evan proposed to Kirsten in early September at Berry Springs Park in Georgetown, Texas.  He invited their families to be there to witness the moment.  I think it’s pretty cool that their moms, who both thought these two would make a great couple while they were still just friends in high school, were there to see this next chapter of their lives together.  What a great memory for the whole family to share!

Kirsten and Evan – thank you SO MUCH for hanging out with me last week!  I had so much fun with the two of you and enjoyed getting to know the two of you better!  Y’all have a contagious joy about you both!  I can’t wait for your wedding next fall!  I have this feeling it’s going to be a blissful day with a shared love of family on both sides!
