Welcome
When Kyle first met Lauren, she wasn’t really up to the idea of a group of guys interrupting her girls’ night. Her friends, however, decided that the “Chevy Boys” were always invited. Lauren wasn’t really dressed to impress that night, as she had been working in the pig pens that afternoon. That, and her stubbornness to start the fire at the girls’ night dinner, was what attracted Kyle to Lauren.
Kyle proposed to Lauren in the early morning hours. They were both in the deer blind at her family ranch. Through binoculars, Lauren read a sign that asked her to marry Kyle. When she turned, she saw Kyle on one knee holding an engagement ring. Of course, she said yes! She wanted to stay in the blind to deer hunt, but they were both too excited to stay put. One of the funny things is that the day before, Lauren had planned a surprise party for Kyle and their families kept giving Kyle a hard time about not proposing yet. EVERYONE in the room knew it was about to happen, except Lauren.
It is so easy to tell that these two just have fun together! There was SO MUCH laughter during their session!
Before we started their Thorndale engagement photos, at the family ranch where he proposed, Kyle said something about soon having an audience. It didn’t take too long for me to understand who would be in the audience. This group was very curious as to what we were doing in their pasture. They came up pretty close just to check things out.
One of Lauren’s first calls after the proposal was to her grandmother, who asked Lauren about the deer hunt that morning. Lauren said she “got her a good one” and proceeded to tell her all about how Kyle had proposed. Lauren’s grandmother made the blanket in the photo above, so it was extra special to include in their Thorndale engagement photos.
Lauren and Kyle, I had so much fun with y’all! Thank you for inviting me to your family ranch to take your Thorndale engagement photos! I can’t wait for your wedding this fall! If your engagement session was any indication, your wedding is going to be an absolute blast, filled with happy tears and so much laughter!
