Welcome
Erin and Kyle met at a New Year’s Eve party. He wasn’t looking for a girlfriend, but he still found himself inviting her to church a few days later. That is how their love story started – with a kiss at midnight. The tradition is supposed to set the tone for the rest of the year, so people keep their loved ones around them. Little did these two know exactly what that tradition would bring to their lives.
They now live in Colorado, where Kyle’s job took them when he started teaching at The Air Force Academy. I was so impressed that they not only traveled all the way to Texas for their engagement photos at Old Settlers Park, but that they did so over Veteran’s Day weekend! Thank you for your service!
My favorite location for their Old Settlers Park Engagement Photos was hands-down this cute white picket fence! I’m pretty sure I could have made their entire blog post using images from just this location!
When it was time to propose, Kyle says he made Erin “work for it” and he really means it! She headed to the gym, like she does most days, but the owner met her with a message. She had to climb the rope for her next clue. This started a scavenger hunt that included some of their favorite things to do together. She had to run five miles, stand up paddle board, rock climb, and other activities before she finally met Kyle on the beach. There, he asked her to be his wife and she said yes. Then, they spent the evening celebrating with their friends who had been a part of the scavenger hunt process. It was a fun day for both of them!
Erin and Kyle, thank you SO MUCH for making the trek down from Colorado for your Old Settlers Park engagement photos! I had so much fun getting to hear y’all’s love story and finally meeting y’all! I can’t wait for your wedding day in May at Horseshoe Bay Resort and for Texas to officially become part of y’all’s love story, as well!
