Welcome
You may remember these two cuties from earlier this year. From the very beginning, we planned on doing two engagement shoots with them. The first one was in Wimberley during the winter, so they could send out save the date cards. This second one was more them. I absolutely adore when couples choose locations that are special and unique to them and Trent and Kayla knew exactly where that location was for them: their home! Here are some of my favorite images from their farm engagement session:
As we were walking away from the Chicken Coup, Kayla looked at me and said “This is where it gets if-y.” When she noticed the confused look on my face, she clarified that this next location was where the snakes could be…. UGH…. maybe we shouldn’t shoot here went through my head, but Kayla had warned me to wear my boots, so…. Another reason we planned on doing a second engagement session was to include more of the beautiful Texas wild flowers that usually abound around their farm this time of year. Unfortunately, these two lovely animals above got out and ate all the flowers…. While most people may not frequent the railroad tracks, Trent and Kayla actually do! The tracks run just in front of their farm and if you go down just a bit, there are blackberries!!! They were none when we got there, but we decided to shoot on the tracks, anyway.
Oh, Kayla! You’re quite stunning, really. This next section made me giggle quite a bit. That tractor is theirs, but we had to move it. When it wouldn’t start, Trent hooked it to his truck and moved it with Kayla driving the tractor. When we all stopped laughing, we were able to get some pretty sweet shots.
Instead of heading to the garden, as planned, Kayla requested that we shoot by her favorite tree! It is her favorite tree because it is really two separate trees that have intertwined themselves together to grow as one!! (Much like Trent and Kayla will be doing this summer!)
I cannot wait for their wedding this summer! Thank you, Trent and Kayla, for inviting me into your home and for letting me share your images!
