I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Earlier this year, I had the joy of photographing this beautiful Barn at Swallow’s Eve wedding with a friend. One of the perks of getting to second shoot is getting introduced to new wedding venues like this one! The creative brain of this Fredericksburg wedding photographer LOVES being able to create images in new spaces.
The Barn at Swallows’ Eve opened last year and is located just around the corner from the historical downtown Fredericksburg, Texas. There are a ton of great bed and breakfasts for guests to stay at nearby. It’s also one of the cutest towns in Texas to spend the wedding weekend in! It’s so close that this Barn at Swallow’s Eve wedding even had it’s very own couple of wedding crashers! A couple happened upon cocktail hour, thinking this was another scenic winery that Fredericksburg is known for. The groom was so sweet and offered to feed them dinner, if they wanted to stay!
As the second photographer for this Barn at Swallow’s Eve wedding, I had the joy of spending prep time with the guys. The grooms’ loft had a ton of natural light, which is great for wedding photos! It also has it’s very own wet bar!
Once the bride was dressed and shared a first look with her dad, it was time to share a first look with her soon to be husband. A first look is a great chance to get some of those wedding day jitters out. It’s also a great way to get the party started early, as you’re able to take some romantic portraits and bridal party photos before the ceremony.
I adored the colors their bridal party wore to their Barn at Swallow’s Eve wedding! The coral and navy paired so perfectly together! Also, I’m loving the groomsmen in suspenders look! You already know bowties are my favorite!
One of my favorite things about wedding party photos is letting the groomsmen have fun! My favorite groups are the ones who are willing to be a little silly with the camera. This group did not disappoint!
How beautiful is this outdoor wedding ceremony site at The Barn at Swallow’s Eve? The trees frame it so beautifully! Reiley and Rose did a fabulous job with the florals!
There were so many tears at this Barn at Swallow’s Eve wedding! The groom lost it when he saw his bride walking down the aisle on the arm of her father. Even though he’d already seen her, he still got choked up as the love of his life was getting closer to him and to vowing to love him forever. It was the sweetest!
When your Maid of Honor and sister is just so happy that you’ve found your person!
They’re officially married!
One of the sweetest moments at every wedding is the one just after you become husband and wife! There’s so much joy and excitement that you’re finally married!
The Barn at Swallow’s Eve wedding venue sits on 35 acres in Fredericksburg, Texas. When we headed to the back of the property to take wedding photos in the tall grass, which photos so romantically, there was also a wardrobe change for the bride. Her Moonlight and Moss wedding dress transformed without the shawl and veil. The wedding was timed just perfectly to make sure we could take advantage of the beautiful golden hour light that happens just before sunset. This is when the Texas Hill Country really shows off!
Their wedding reception was held inside the Barn at Swallow’s Eve. They included family style seating at farm tables with beautiful greenery and candlelight.
There were so many happy tears at this Barn at Swallow’s Eve wedding! I love that you can see the bride’s mom and both grandmothers crying during the daddy daughter dance in the photo above!
The groomsmen were so much fun! Here, they’re playing air guitar!
Mad props here! They just successfully did the Dirty Dancing lift!
I hope you enjoyed this Barn at Swallow’s Eve wedding! It was so much fun to second shoot for Mikenzie Ryan of France Photographers! The coral and navy wedding color combination was perfect for this Spring wedding in Fredericksburg, Texas!
