Welcome
I don’t think I’ve ever been as scared driving to a wedding as I was to this Ivory Oak wedding! The weather was CRAZY! Flash flood warnings and tornado watches had been issued in my home county and continued to alert me throughout my drive to Wimberley. No matter the weather, though, the wedding is going to happen! There have been a few times I remember weddings being cancelled (sorry to any Houston brides that were planning a wedding the weekend of Hurricane Harvey last year). More often than not, the show must go on!
However, as soon as I pulled into The Ivory Oak, the clouds parted and the sun started shining. When the weather finally started to cooperate, the entire creative team jumped into high gear to bring Liz and Chase’s dream of having an outdoor wedding in the Texas Hill Country to life! I was second shooting this wedding for Courtney Leigh and it was so great to be there when she told Liz that the wedding could happen outside – just like they had planned! Here’s a peek at some of my favorite photos from their wedding at The Ivory Oak!
How perfect is Liz’s bridal bouquet by Native Bloom Floral Design?!? Once she was dressed and holding her flowers, it was time to get married!
Chase was moved to the point of tears as he watched his beautiful bride walk down the aisle at their Ivory Oak wedding! It was so sweet to witness! If you look closely, you can see his best man and brother standing behind him. He’s also wiping a tear from his eye.
Sealed with a kiss, they’re officially married!!
These “we just got married” moments are always the best! There was so much JOY radiating from Liz after they were announced husband and wife! Chase and Liz were so excited and the weather had turned out perfectly for their Ivory Oak wedding ceremony!
I loved Liz’s wedding style! Her bridesmaids were able to pick out their own dresses from Show Me Your Mumu. They were able to pick their favorite silhouette and given a great color palette of dusty blues to pick from. They all came together beautifully!
The Ivory Oak has a beautiful modern design with lots of windows and white walls. That combination photographs like a dream!
After special dances and dinner, Liz and Chase were toasted (and a little roasted) by the Maid of Honor and Best Man. There were lots of great laughs and a few tears.
Liz was one happy bride and they had one heck of a party!
To wrap the night up, wedding guests sent Chase and Liz off with a sparkler exit! It was such a fun day for two kind people and it was an honor to help Courtney Leigh photograph it for them! Congratulations, Chase and Liz!
