I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Gabby and Bobby planned a destination wedding in Texas while they’ve been located in Minnesota! Everything came together perfectly last Saturday as they tied the knot in San Antonio, Texas. Their January wedding colors were slate blue and burgundy, which is a beautiful color palette for a winter wedding. It was an honor to be their Jack Guenther Pavilion wedding photographer! Here’s a peek at some of my favorites from their big day!
Gabby’s wedding dress was perfect for spinning! If you can’t spin in it, is it even a wedding dress?!?
Daddy daughter first looks get me every time! I cried culling this sweet moment between Gabby and her dad!
Gabby and Bobby wanted to share first look on their wedding day and I’m so glad they did! These two were seriously ALL smiles ALL day and it just makes my heart happy! They were just giddy all day – how you should feel marrying your person!
One of the many perks of including a first look on your wedding day is that you get twice as many portraits of just you and your spouse! With winter weddings, the sun sets pretty early in the day, so including a first look ensures there is plenty of natural light still available for the most important pictures of the day.
I loved Gabby’s wedding color palette! These burgundy flowers really popped against her slate blue bridesmaids dresses.
These two pictures are the perfect example of why I love having a second photographer at weddings! I would not have been able to capture either of these moments by myself. The top photo, my second shooter is in the balcony, telling a bigger story of the day. I was downstairs waiting for the processional, so I could not have been in both places at once. The bottom photo, where Gabby and Bobby are celebrating finally being married, I was still in the sanctuary, continuing to photograph the bridal party recess after the ceremony. These are the kind of moments where it’s really great to have two sets of cameras to tell more of the wedding day story!
After a few quick “just married” photos at the church, everyone headed back to Jack Guenther Pavilion for the wedding reception.
Gabby and Bobby’s cake baker made them their very own personal mini cake of their wedding cake! How cute is that!
After Gabby and Bobby were announced into their Jack Guenther Pavilion wedding reception, they went straight into their first dance as husband and wife. Like they had been doing all day, they couldn’t stop smiling unless they were smooching! They were seriously the cutest!
Gabby and Bobby – thank you SO MUCH for inviting me to be your Jack Guenther Pavilion wedding photographer! It was such a joy to document y’all’s happily ever after!
