I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Terrell proposed to Jessica at Tokyo Disneyland. As the Christmas parade was going by, Terrell got down on one knee to ask Jessica to be his wife. She said yes (or maybe something along the lines of “what are you doing?”) and the two were married last weekend. Their Texas Old Town wedding was filled with happy tears and so much joy!
I love that the bridesmaids robes paid tribute to Japan, where Jessica and Terrell got engaged!
The happy tears started as soon as Jessica was in her wedding dress. Her father and brother getting a first look with the bride is one of my favorite moments from their Texas Old Town wedding.
The necklace and earrings that Jessica wore on her wedding day were originally a wedding gift from her grandfather to her grandmother on their wedding day. I love that there is a legacy of love in the details that Jessica paired with her bridal style.
Terrell had the sweetest reaction to seeing Jessica for the first time on their wedding day! He said it was like seeing her for the very first time.
Jessica’s dad officiated their wedding ceremony at Texas Old Town. He included personal details of the couple and the favorite was sharing the William Test. Jessica’s brother, William, has Down Syndrome. For any eligible suitor to pass the test and get a second date with William’s sisters, they had to have an open heart towards William. Terrell had embraced William as his brother by the second date, so he clearly passed. He fit in so well with the family, that Jessica’s dad says he knew early on in their relationship that Terrell would be Jessica’s husband.
When toasts were given in honor of the bride and groom, the tears started rolling once again. These two really have a supportive group around them.
William is such a fun dancer! He has a signature move where he high fives someone and turns it into a spin!
Jessica and Terrell – thank you so much for inviting me to be your Texas Old Town wedding photographer! It was such a joy to spend the day with y’all and your incredible families! Congratulations!
