Katie and Garrett’s Lone Oak Barn wedding happened last Saturday.  One of my favorite things about their day was that they included their sweet fur baby, Callie!  You’ll see her all over this blog post, so get ready for some cuteness!

Katie and Garrett opted to include a first look into their wedding day!  I’m so glad they did!  These kinds of reactions just do NOT happen at the end of the aisle.  Why?  Because when he looks up, he’d see 150 sets of eyes with expectations as to what his reaction should be.  Then, they’d head directly into the vows and he wouldn’t even be able to hug her.  By including a first look, they were able to both fully react to seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day.  They were both able to hug each other, kiss, and just live in this moment for as long as they wanted.  Even better, sweet Callie girl got to hang out with her parents before she started her duties as flower girl.

Another bonus of including a first look is that they get more pictures of just the two of them on their wedding day!

Katie and Garrett’s wedding guests were greeted with flutes of Champagne as they arrived at their Lone Oak Barn wedding!  This is definitely a trend I can get behind!

If given the option, I will ALWAYS opt to have brides in a long cathedral veil.  This is why!  The swoopy veil shots are just so DREAMY!

Katie and Garrett’s Lone Oak Barn wedding took place on Mother’s Day weekend.  Halfway through his dance with his mom, Garrett invited all the mother and sons present to join him and his mom on the dance floor.

Guests LOVE having a midnight snack at the party!  Katie and Garrett treated their wedding guests to What-a-Burger!

Congratulations, Katie and Garrett!! Thank you so much for inviting me to be your Lone Oak Barn wedding photographer!  It was such a joy to capture the start of y’all’s happily ever after!
