I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Annah and Brett went to college together. Even though the campus of Mary Hardin Baylor is small, they only ran into each other once while attending. Annah’s best friend even tried to tell her that Brett would be her perfect match, but Annah stayed focused on her grades. 5 years later, they matched on Bumble, which is a dating app where the girl has to ask the guy out. That’s exactly what her best friend in college had been encouraging her to do! The two saw so many connections through their stories that they knew it was God’s design for them to be married. Brett asked Annah to marry him in the kitchen of her apartment within 10 months of dating with her fur baby, Heidi Jo, as witness. The two were married at Lone Oak Barn and it was an honor to be their Round Rock wedding photographer.
Before she put on her dress, Annah’s bridesmaids took turns praying over her. Asking for God’s guidance and blessing of their new marriage is the best start.
Annah’s dad was the first one invited up to get a peek at the bride! Daddy daughter first looks are the sweetest!
Then, it was the bridesmaids turn to see Annah as a bride on her wedding day at Lone Oak Barn!
Brett started crying as soon as the barn doors were open and Annah walked down to meet her forever.
Brett’s brother was the Best Man and even he was crying at the start of the wedding ceremony.
Their exit from their Round Rock wedding ceremony is one of my favorites! Brett spun Annah and then did this dip kiss and the entire room cheered for them!
The rain let up just enough for us to step outside for portraits of just the two of them! While it was still drizzling, Annah said she didn’t mind getting her dress a little wet so we could create some beautiful portraits for them! We had umbrellas, too, in case the rain came back full force, but it didn’t.
Zhane is the Maid of Honor who encouraged Annah to date Brett in college!
Annah and Brett and their people love Jesus. Lucy started her toast to the bride and groom by declaring how great God is!
Chad is Brett’s brother and was his Best Man. He shared a sentimental detail about Brett’s wedding ring. It was made from the same material that was in his father’s wedding band. His father couldn’t make the wedding ceremony because Heaven is just a little too far away, but will always be close to Brett’s heart and with him everywhere he goes. The other half of his father’s ring will one day be used to create Chad’s wedding band, as well.
One of the reasons Annah wasn’t worried about her dress in the rain was because she knew she had a party dress! This dress was her mother’s wedding dress that had been reimagined into a wedding reception dress for Annah.
The other surprise Annah had was a choreographed dance with her dad! It was so fun and tied back to a memory they share of going on national television together to perform a dance routine!
Brett’s brother caught the garter and his girlfriend, Annie, caught the bouquet! It’s been teased that the Vautherine brothers, who are triplets with their sister, Kelsey, have “a type” and they’re all great friends! It’s so sweet to watch how well this family loves and supports each other! Annie also came to Brett and Annah’s Salado engagement session to help take care of Heidi Jo when she wasn’t in photos.
“The Time of My Life” came on and the lift from Dirty Dancing was recreated on the dance floor! These two are so much fun and share a mutual love of dancing!
Annah and Brett – thank you so much for inviting me to document your wedding day! I absolutely adored being your Round Rock wedding photographer! It was a blessing to witness y’all’s love of family and sharing your love of Jesus with your guests!
