I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Jackie is a classic, timeless bride. She and Brian were hoping for a light and airy Spring wedding day. Inspired by nature, they were planning an outdoor ceremony with lots of pinks and whites to compliment the green of a Texas Spring. However, nature had other plans that day. Rain was in the forecast from the time the ceremony was supposed to start all the way through the night. So, they made the call for an indoor ceremony, but wanted to take as many photos outside as possible before the rain set in. Their wedding is proof that indoor weddings can still be beautiful and you can still have natural light photos even if it rains. Here are my favorite images as their Terrace Club wedding photographer!
Jackie’s “something borrowed” was her beautiful veil from one of her bridesmaids!
Jackie and Brian shared a first look on their wedding day. It’s a great chance to get some of those wedding day jitters out. For Jackie and Brian, though, it meant that they could take the pressure off the moment coming down the aisle. It also meant that they got to enjoy their own cocktail hour, since we were able to take all wedding party and family photos before the ceremony. First looks are always a win-win!
All day, Brian could not stop admiring his wife and declaring how beautiful she looked! It was the sweetest thing!
It started to drizzle during their first look, so we moved to the front of the venue that is covered. One covered porch is really all you need to still get beautiful natural light photos on rainy wedding days.
One thing that I wish all couples did is book a wedding venue with a solid rain plan. Jackie and Brian did just that because The Terrace Club has a second indoor space separate from the reception space. When rain was in the forecast, there was no worry about where the ceremony would take place.
Congratulations, Jackie and Brian! Thank you so much for inviting me to be your Terrace Club Wedding Photographer!
