Welcome
Last Month, I had the absolute pleasure of second shooting Alison and Brent’s wedding at Astin Mansion with Jennifer Weems out in Bryan, TX. She is an absolute blast to be with: very laid back and whatever happens, happens attitude. That was a great attitude to have as an Astin Mansion Wedding Photographer, since rain threatened Brent and Alison’s entire day! Everything was absolutely beautiful, but no one knew where the wedding ceremony would take place: in the tent (where part of the reception was supposed to take place) or out on the front lawn as originally planned, with hopes that the storm would skip us. Despite that, nothing seemed to get in the way of Brent and Alison’s happy demeanors on their wedding day!
These two EACH wrote about a three page typed letter to the love of their life. Sweet!
Alison’s dress was perfect for spinning in!
Brent and Alison opted for a first look, which is AWESOME!!! First looks allow couples to have a few minutes just to themselves before the hustle of the wedding starts, lets you take bridal party and family photos before the ceremony so you get to the after party faster, and lets you get more romantic portraits with just the two of you!
Even Brent kept wanting Alison to spin in her dress! It really was made for spinning! Such a beautiful dress!
The great thing about second shooting is that you can go get crazy angles that you wouldn’t have done as the primary photographer. It is so much fun!!!
One of my favorites! It just looks so romantic!
As the family was having their portraits taken inside, Brent looked out and saw a beautiful rainbow and said it was a good sign! He was hopeful Alison saw it, too.
The guests were holding umbrellas about 3 minutes before the ceremony started, but as soon as it did, the rain let up for JUST ENOUGH time for Brent and Alison’s wedding. So perfect! GOD must have been helping them out.
On the left, his sister is reading scripture and on the right, the priest is asking them to look into the crowd, full of people who love them and support their marriage. Sweet!
The celebratory “WE DID IT!!” kiss – my favorite!
A very excited Alison that GOD held the rain off just long enough to have their wedding ceremony outside, like they wanted.
Then, the rain started, as if on queue. I’m not complaining, though, this is one of my favorite photos from their day:
ALL of the toasts were very emotional! I’m not really a cryer, but they had me a little choked up that night.
During Brent and Alison’s first dance, her dad cut in as the song was “I loved her, first” – such a sweet, sweet moment!
This next photo perfectly captures the very first time I heard “What Does The Fox Say?”
Thank you, Jennifer, for inviting me to second shoot this beautiful wedding with you! It was an absolute blast! Brent and Alison, I wish y’all the absolute best in life! Thank you for letting me share in your gorgeous wedding day at Astin Mansion!

Thanks for all your help, you did an amazing job! Now, seriously, get your butt over to the neighbors and ask if we can shoot his house :)
HAHA! Jennifer, you crack me up! I’m not going to the neighbors…. until he puts some clothes on….
