Although Kamal was immediately drawn to Angelica, he didn’t make a move the first time he met her, as she was with another guy.  What Kamal didn’t know was that the “other guy” was just a friend of Angelica, not her boyfriend.  As soon as that news reached Kamal, he wrote Angelica a note and the two had their first date on a Sunday.

As graduates from the University of Texas, the two grew to love the 40-acre campus in the heart of Austin, TX.  So… that is exactly the location they picked to be the backdrop of their engagement portraits.  

Kamal called this their “Blue Steel” face and, at that moment, I knew the session would be a success!

We also found these beautiful little things!  We could not have timed their session better!

The picture above is what we thought to be a butterfly, but then ALL agreed it had to be a hummingbird.  Well, it is both!  It is a HummingMoth!  

Kamal and Angelica, THANK YOU so much for hanging out with me!  I had an absolute blast with y’all and am sad we have to wait a whole year for your wedding!  But… I have always been told that some things are worth the wait!
