I do, too! I tried out over 50 lipsticks so I could recommend the ones that would truly last all day - kiss proof for your big day!

I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Have you ever watched old family videos? My grandparents have a huge stack of family videos and every year, without fail, my sisters and cousins and I end up in my grandparents’ bedroom every Christmas or Thanksgiving watching these videos. Every time someone brings a new boyfriend or girlfriend home for the holidays, we bust out the best video of that person to torture showcase his or her best moments in life. Everyone gets a good laugh and everyone remembers how good we had it as kids with absolutely zero worries. Now, as more and more of my generation is having kids, we are comparing how much their child is like their parent: hair color, personality, facial expressions.
While I don’t plan on turning into a videographer, my love of video has increased with old family videos, just as my love of photography stems from looking at old family photos. And, in wishing to “re-watch” moments that were not captured on video, such as: my own wedding, my nephew’s first steps (or his little stumble across the floor before he got proficient at walking), and every day moments that we treasure now, but may take for granted as an every day occurrence. Yes, we have photographs, and those are timeless, but I believe there is POWER in motion.
With that, I have been practicing with the video settings on my new camera and have come up with a way to incorporate video into photography sessions. Here is a look at what I’ve been working on for this Round Rock Family Portrait Session.
I know you have a busy schedule, but if you just spared 4 minutes to watch that video, THANK YOU! It is very new to me (this was actually the first session I’ve incorporated video) and I would love to see what you think about adding motion to photo sessions. This is all photo sessions, too: weddings (father wiping away a tear as he is walking his daughter down the aisle, first kiss, mom zipping up the wedding dress), seniors (playing an instrument, throwing a sports ball), and new borns (baby’s eyes opening/closing, little hand clasping onto mom’s finger, being rocked by daddy). Please feel free to share your thoughts and opinions with me in the comment section below. I’d love to hear about how you would like to see this new phase incorporated.
