Welcome
Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Nick and Mary’s engagement session out at Twisted Ranch! Although I’ve shot out there several times, I got to see parts of the 200-acre wedding venue that I’ve never seen before! It was a great opportunity to explore the multitude of location options without the time constraints of a wedding day and I LOVED every bit of it! Of course, when such a beautiful bride and her super-sweet fiance step in front of the camera, you pretty much can’t go wrong!
Boots with dresses – always a favorite!!
Nick’s parents own Twisted Ranch, so they were onsite to make sure we got the grand tour! Part of that tour was going to see the buffalo! WOOT! Usually, during weddings, the buffalo are brought up to the gate near the reception barn so we have a fence between us and the beautiful animals at all times. Not so with this session! We got to go see the buffalo AND their sweet babies up close! What an experience!
After saying bye to the buffalo, we headed to the longhorns’ play area and they were SO friendly! There was zero hesitation in coming up to the Polaris we all rode in to come say hi. If you look at the longhorn on the left, you’ll see my shadow taking his picture just between his horns. We were THAT close!!! Of course, I didn’t step out of the Polaris, as the last time I was this close to these guys, Tricia, the owner, told me to get back in so I had some hesitation getting out this go round.
Do you see the one on the left? He REALLY wanted some love & affection (or maybe sweet feed) from Nick and Mary! He kept nudging their hands!
Peso is not one to be left out, so we made sure to include this handsome horse in a few shots, as well.
Nick and Mary – thank you SO MUCH for meeting me out at Twisted Ranch for your engagement session! I had so much fun with the two of you (and your sweet girls) and cannot wait for your big day!
