Welcome
As we wrap up 2014, which has been quite the year for our business, I wanted to share what REALLY goes on behind the scenes on wedding days, engagement and bridal portrait sessions. Yes, beautiful photos are always our end goal, but the way we get them isn’t always as glamorous.
For Brad and Karen’s engagement session in Cuero, I needed a little extra height.
I have bustled my fair share of wedding gowns. If you’ve ever wondered how we get our veil shots, we cheat.
For the resulting ring shot, check out this post.
We have crashed a photo-booth or two.
Dylan will always find the animals, no matter which ranch wedding we’re at!
Sometimes, it takes a family to pull off a bridal session.
I’ve been known to high-five the best of the best flower girls and ring-bearers!
…and help little ones off the stage when they start to cry…
or show them how cute they look with the back of our cameras.
We test each other’s light with the prettiest of faces!
Proof that the bridal party finds me funny (or they laugh AT me instead of with me, but… whatever gets the shot).Sometimes, we stand a little funny (and Dylan is probably taking a shot of the goat behind the bride and groom here, if we’re being honest).
Yes, we tend to photobomb each other more often than we would like to admit.
Dylan took this to prove that I stole the table he was photographing! HA!
Dylan likes to work with two camera bodies during the wedding ceremony. He is also in charge of the family shot list – so very thankful for that!
We ALWAYS giggle when people ask us to take a snapshot with their phones when we carry some of the top photo gear on the market!
I tend to prep every couple on how to cut the wedding cake…
and, sometimes, I’ll show them how extremely GORGEOUS they look!
We both tend to grab the same outfit for weddings. I’ll use that as an excuse to buy more dresses for wedding season 2015! Here’s proof that I do own more than that black dress:
26 weddings later and that is a wrap on 2014! A great big THANK YOU and hug to all the sweet couples that have trusted us to document their special day and all the families that have invited us in on one of the biggest days of their lives! I’m so very appreciative of your trust and know that I couldn’t do what I love without your support! THANK YOU!

It is hard to believe that Kayln and Matt’s 1st year anniversary will be coming up in March. It seems like only yesterday. So happy we have the pictures to reflect on, even though it turned out to be so cold that day.
BTW-Britni’s boudoir album came out beautiful!! I’m sure Joe is going to LOVE it.
We appreciate your hard work and friendship.
