I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Luci and Evan flew in from Florida last week to have a destination wedding in Austin, TX. They wanted a laid-back night where friends and family could just enjoy spending time with each other.
Before heading to the County Line on the Lake for their wedding ceremony, Luci and Evan took a moment to pray – without seeing one another. That’s a FABULOUS way to start a marriage!
Just before the ceremony started, so did the rain. The radio (on the drive from the hotel to the ceremony) was warning of severe thunderstorms and flash floods. That did not stop these two from tying the knot outside like they had been planning!
Luci’s train was originally part of her mother’s wedding dress! How sweet is that?!?
Luci’s nieces stood in as “usher-ettes” and did a fabulous job!
Being from Florida, the bridal party did the Gator Chomp! HAHA! It took us a couple tries to get it timed correctly, but it was fun to witness!
Luci’s grandfather’s handkerchiefs were sewn into the inside of her dress.
Luci teaches elementary school and her students all wrote their own advice for the newlyweds! It was pretty cute and made for some laughs among the wedding guests.
Luci’s brother PROMISED me that her favorite shot of the night would be of her and Evan’s dirty shoes dancing their first dance together as man and wife.
Evan and Luci made sure to take care of their guests with lawn games such as giant jenga, corn-hole, and yahtzee! Everyone had a great time!
They had a brownie sundae wedding cake complete with ice cream and candy toppings! Luci and Evan, thank you SO MUCH for inviting me to document your day! I love that y’all were true to your personalities to showcase your silly side and making sure your guests had a great time! Thank you for braving the rain and willing to get your shoes (and wedding dress) a little bit dirty!
