I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Emma & Michael’s love story is as exciting as a UT Longhorns game day. A University of Texas baseball star spots a beautiful brunette on the Pom Squad. He takes a swing and sends a text that simply says “yes”. That sparked up a conversation between the two and not long after, Michael proposed to Emma at the UT Baseball field. He hit a homerun when she said yes and even had their families in the dugout to celebrate with them. The two were married in the heart of Longhorn country, Austin, Texas. It was my joy to be their Addison Grove wedding photographer.
After sharing a first look with her dad, it was time for Emma’s bridesmaids to have their own first look. None of them had seen her wedding dress yet.
What else could complement their UT roots better than burnt orange? Their wedding was awash in this vibrant, warm hue, echoing the iconic color of the University of Texas. From the bridesmaids’ dresses to the floral arrangements, there was enough burnt orange to make Bevo himself proud.
It wouldn’t have been Emma’s wedding day without a dance party with her besties!
Above all else, family is super important to Emma & Michael. Their families had so many sweet moments with them throughout their wedding day. Fun Fact: Emma’s mom made her flower girl’s dress. This family loves all things craft and this was a great way to show off their skills.
There were so many tears of gratitude from both Michael and Emma. I’m honestly not sure which of the two of them cried more happy tears than the other one. It’s so special when both partners think they’re the one who is marrying up. Emma & Michael are head over heels in love with each other and you can just see it when you watch them together.
They’re officially married!! One of my favorite things about Emma & Michael is how much they love to hug! It’s full on cheek to cheek neck squeezes and it’s so dang cute! You may have seen it when Emma finally saw Michael at the end of the aisle. It’s here, right after they shared their first kiss as husband and wife. You’ll see it, again, after their first dance and on the dance floor.
This was such a sweet moment between Emma and her Maid of Honor. Following the ceremony, they hugged and jumped up and down in excitement that Emma had found her forever person and was officially married to Michael. It’s so sweet watching your bestie marry the man she’s prayed for.
When it came time to plan their dream wedding, there was no question where their hearts belonged. The Addison Grove in Austin, nestled in the rolling hills just outside the city, provided the perfect backdrop for their special day. With its hill country charm and picturesque surroundings, it was an easy choice for this Longhorn-loving couple.
Michael knew he was marrying into a crafting family. So, he had a DIY project of his own for their Addison Grove Wedding. Michael made this seating chart display for their Best Buds to find their seat at the wedding reception.
Emma & Michael went straight into their first dance as they entered their Addison Grove Wedding reception.
You can’t have a UT-themed wedding without a few Longhorns making an appearance! The beloved Mascot and friends were there during sunset photos.
When the UT Pom Squad is at the wedding
Whether you’re planning your own wedding at The Addison Grove or love burnt orange as much as the Lone Star State, take a page from Emma & Michael’s playbook: embrace your roots, celebrate your passions, and let your love be as loud as a UT championship.
Hook ’em horns!
Emma and Michael – thank you SO MUCH for inviting me to be your Addison Grove wedding photographer! I absolutely adored every single second with the two of you and your friends and family!
