I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
This past Saturday, Dylan and I had the absolute pleasure of being the Antebellum Oaks Wedding Photographers for Felipe and Natalie! They are the SWEETEST people, seriously. We loved them when we first met them at the Bridal Extravaganza, but spending time with them at their engagement session sealed the deal for me: they’re fabulous people to spend the day with! Despite the freezing weather (seriously, it was in the 20s most of the day), they just WENT WITH IT for every change that had to be made to their day, including moving their ceremony from outside to indoors. That is quite a change to be able to just accept with a smile and know that bigger things were at hand that day: like the fact that they were finally getting to marry their best friend and could start their lives together.
I may or may not have been playing peek-a-boo with this cutie while the girls were getting ready…
While I was hanging out with the girls, Dylan was with the guys and got these:
Felipe and Natalie chose to do a First Look! It is a great opportunity to see each other before the ceremony to get out those butterflies, spend a few minutes of quality time with each other, and is a chance to take even more photos on your wedding day.
They had the cutest birthday girl photo-bomb their first look!
Felipe and Natalie’s Bridal Party was made up of their kiddos!
Dylan took the photo on the left – love that creative eye of his!
The mariachis serenaded this sweet birthday girl!
Natalie gave Angel the biggest hug during the “Man of Honor” speech (since Angel played both roles of Best Man and Maid of Honor).
When Natalie was describing her wedding venue to me a few weeks ago, she told me she chose it because it was “acres and acres of pretty.” So even though the ceremony had to be moved indoors, she said that she still wanted photos outside. In her own words, “if the girls of Sports Illustrated can brave the weather, so can I!!!” I absolutely adore her attitude and heart and am so glad they were willing to handle the 20 degree weather for these next shots!
Congratulations, Felipe and Natalie! Dylan and I are absolutely honored that you chose us to document this journey for you and wish you the absolute best in life!
