Welcome
This past Valentine’s Day weekend, Jenna and Luke met me in Port Aransas for their beach engagement session, marking their EIGHTH Valentine’s Day together! They choose Port A as their session location, as that is where Luke proposed to Jenna.
I knew it was “meant to be” when I (from behind the camera) said “Smiling’s my favorite!” and Luke, almost immediately, said “I like to whisper, too.”
If you couldn’t already tell, it was UNBELIEVABLY foggy on the morning of their engagement session. We had checked the weather the day before and actually pushed their engagement session start time back by a full hour. Jenna was the SWEETEST and was so flexible. Even though the drive in to Port A teased with sunlight, we had ALL fog ALL morning. Since we had all driven in from Austin for this and had to be back in Austin that afternoon, they just went with it! On top of that, Jenna kind of giggled about it since their photos would have a mostly Gray color, as that will be her new last name and one of their wedding colors! Oh, I just wanted to HUG her!
When I first tried this pose with them, Luke totally called me out on “The Prom Pose” – which, he should know what it is, as he took Jenna to prom TWICE! So… I tricked them into trying it, again, without telling them, and… they totally nailed it!
If you love Jenna’s dress, she got it from Tiara’s in Kyle! Go check them out – her dresses (since both came from the store) are ADORABLE!
After Jenna said yes to Luke’s proposal, they let everyone know things were official by writing it in the sand and sending everyone a photo of it! Well, their date has officially been set, too!
After the beach, we headed to the dock. Unbeknownst to me, the restaurant next to the dock we went to just so happens to be the place they ate at after the proposal!
Luke and Jenna, THANK YOU for being AWESOME! Seriously, y’all totally made my morning! I had such a fun time with y’all (and I generally don’t do well during sunrise hours) and cannot wait for your wedding! If y’all put just a pinch of your personalities into your day, you will have a very loving and fun celebration.
All my best,
Mylah Renae

Great job Mylah! I know you did not like the fog, but I absolutely love the look it gave your photos. Can’t wait to see the wedding!
Mylah, these are absolutely some of my favorite pictures that you’ve taken! I love how all of the colors seem to work together with the water, background, fog, clothes. Great photos all around!
Mylah- LOVE the these! The fog makes it seem so romantic and cozy!
