Welcome
As an Austin Wedding Photographer, I absolutely ADORE when my clients find locations for their engagement sessions that are personal to them! Although Natalie and Felipe are SO LAID BACK that they *almost* let me choose their engagement session location, after a few questions about their relationship, this is what I got back from Natalie: “I met Felipe after I had decided to go back to college and get my degree. It was more convenient to live closer to campus. Our whole courtship and relationship took place in East Austin. I would pass the United Way building to my apartment on my way back from taking classes and they have this cute and quirky mural and its a real nod to our relationship, so, if possible, I would like to get some shots in at ‘you’re my butter half’ mural. I also really like this graffiti ‘Dia de Los Muertos’ mural that’s on 7th street. There’s also this taco stand right around the corner at Cesar Chavez and Pleasant Valley that we always grab street tacos from. There is a whole lot of great backdrops for photos. If we could make that happen…I think it speaks more to who we are.”
Apparently, I’m pretty funny! :D
Felipe is SUCH a funny guy! He had Natalie laughing the entire afternoon!
We wrapped up their engagement session at their favorite little taco stand. They bought me the BEST gordita I’ve ever had! Being from Corpus, that says quite a bit…
As I was taking this ring shot on the right, they both told me to stop working! HA! I feel so blessed to have awesome clients that make me feel like a friend (and not just another wedding vendor).
While waiting for dinner, we stole away to the alley and wrapped up their session with these:
I love that they remember to have fun together, no matter what they’re doing.
Natalie and Felipe, thank you so much for hanging out with me AND introducing me to a pretty awesome taco stand! Your engagement session was so much fun and I’m so very thankful that y’all choose a spot that was personal to your relationship and love story! I cannot wait for your wedding (or Pachanga, as Felipe called it)!!!
