I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Lauren and Nelson got married at the Barr Mansion in Austin, TX this summer. I was second shooting this wedding with Click Chick and as soon as she saw me, she threw me a bottle of water and said “Stay Hydrated!” It was about 105 degrees that day, as are most summer days in Texas. Despite the heat, Lauren and Nelson had a GORGEOUS day! Here is what their Barr Mansion wedding looked like:
I absolutely ADORED her succulent and Peony wedding bouquet!
As a gift to the groom, a friend brewed Nelson his very own “Wedding Beer.” It must have been pretty good, as all the guys finished their beer!
I absolutely ADORED Lauren and Nelson’s wedding color choices! They were corral, mint, and a touch of yellow! Everything looked so fresh and summer-y!
With the summer heat of Texas, Lauren opted to turn her wedding day programs into fans! What a great idea, that I’m sure her guests were thankful for!
Another precious touch was the floral headbands of the flower girls! Look how cute they were!
I’ve never seen such an emotional response from a groom during the ceremony! It was priceless and I’m so glad Lauren was able to experience what every bride dreams of!
Since both Nelson AND Lauren play rugby, they decided to toss the bouquet and garter on a rugby ball!
Just before they were announced into their ceremony, Nelson and Lauren were able to share a sweet moment just to themselves! So glad I caught it – just in time!
Outside the Reception hall of Barr Mansion, Nelson and Lauren had a children’s area set up. There were tents, games, glow-sticks and their very own “entertainer.”
Even though it was their first dance, Nelson and Lauren invited their guests to join them on the dance floor, since these were the people that helped them form into who they are today and were there as their love grew. Thank you, Lauren and Nelson, for letting me share in your beautiful day! Thank you, as well, to Click Chick, for inviting me to be a Barr Mansion wedding photographer with you!
