I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Last year, Dylan and I went to the Camp Lucy Open House after being invited to tour the property by the owner at the September Bridal Extravaganza. As soon as we stepped foot on the beautiful property in Dripping Springs, TX, Dylan turned to me and said “Honey, I think we made a mistake.” It took me a minute, but I finally realized that he was talking about our wedding venue. Camp Lucy fit us well and we were immediately comfortable there surrounded by trees and driving past creeks. The view is beautiful and the PERFECT backdrop for a wedding. Lucky for me, I finally had the chance to photograph a wedding out there when Click Chick asked me to second shoot with her in early March.
All of Megan’s bridesmaid wrote her a special letter for her wedding day, which she made sure to read BEFORE her make-up was put on.
After all the girls had their hair and make-up done, we headed from the inn to their wedding venue, Camp Lucy, where Winston and the guys were already hanging out.
I also had the pleasure of witnessing Winston’s reaction to reading a letter from his bride-to-be before their ceremony. At first, he was so moved that he had to shut the love letter and take a moment to recompose himself. It was SO sweet.
I ADORE the bridesmaid dresses Megan chose! The fabric flowed so gracefully off each girl and every one of them had the option to tie the dress in a way that most flattered her shape. They may all be wearing the exact same dress, but they each looked different. And the color was PERFECT!
And THIS is the view you get of the Texas Hill Country when you get married at Camp Lucy! So gorgeous!
Immediately after the ceremony, Megan and Winston snuck away for a few moments to themselves before being wrapped in love by the ENTIRE bridal party.
You are seeing this correctly: their bridal party was made up of 13 bridesmaids and 14 groomsmen. Winston’s best man was actually his dad!
The flower girls had some extra petals left over and were absolutely GIDDY about throwing them in the air for the bride and groom to walk through! They were so excited about their wedding duties (and what a fun job to have!)!
I’ll end with the bouquet CATCH because the bridesmaid’s reaction who caught the bouquet is one of my favorites!
