Garrett and Kristen got married this past weekend at Camp Lucy’s Sacred Oaks in Dripping Springs.  One of the sweet things about Garrett and Kristen is that she knew she would marry him before she even met him!  Their grandmothers played match maker and the two hit it off before ever meeting face to face.  How sweet is that?!?

Garrett gifted Kristen an infinity band for her pinky on their wedding day.  It was a pinky promise to love her beyond infinity.

Kristen said she and her brother have always been jokesters and love playing pranks on each other (she recounted getting her hair stuck in packing tape and him having to help her get free piece by piece).  He couldn’t miss the opportunity to make his sister smile on her wedding day, so he did a “first look” with her in his best!  It made for a good laugh that I know she appreciated.  
Kristen told her cousin she would marry Garrett before ever even meeting him.  She just knew.  From their very first date, she started to keep a journal documenting their relationship.  She gave it to Garrett on their wedding day, along with a watch.

Garrett’s grandmother, who was one of their flowergirls, popped in the bridal suite just before the ceremony.  I couldn’t help but overhear Kristen say “this is your fault!”  His grandmother was proud she had played matchmaker with the two soon to be newlyweds.  It was a super sweet moment that gave me a lump in the throat.  After a family prayer, the ceremony was ready to begin!

I’d say they were pretty excited to FINALLY be married!  Kristen and Garrett rang the celebratory bell with a full squat! 

These two flower girls (and grandmothers) are the two matchmakers and are the ones who made this love story come to life!

Before the wind took Kristen’s veil right out of her hair, we were able to get a few shots of the newlyweds under it!  I love these!

One of the shots Kristen really wanted was her, her mother, and her grandmothers all holding their bridal portraits.  I’m so glad we were able to capture that for her!

Kristen could not stop talking about how much she LOVED the sweet lady who made her cake.  Thank you, Classic Cakes by Lori, for the sweets!  Also, the cake plate for Garrett’s groom’s cake was the old basketball gym floor that Kristen danced on in High School.  That’s pretty cool and will be a sentimental serving piece for them! We were able to sneak away from the reception for some romantic portraits at sunset and I’m SO GLAD we were able to!  These two are a STUNNING couple, inside and out, and I could not have been happier to be able to document such a special day for them!  I have way too many favorites from this section of the day!

Dylan caught a cartwheel contest going on in the back lawn of Sacred Oaks.

The newlyweds left their Camp Lucy Sacred Oaks wedding in STYLE!  A 1936 Bentley took them to their final destination of the evening!Kristen and Garrett, thank you SO MUCH for having Dylan and me document your wedding day!  We loved spending time with your vivacious bridal party, that you had your match-making grandmothers play flower girls for the evening, and that y’all were so easy-going about the whole day.  Y’all are absolutely gorgeous people, inside AND out, and we are so thankful to have been a witness to your day.  Thank you!
