I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
While attending Texas A&M, Paige was invited to a party. The guy who was hosting the party asked her if she wanted to see his plant (a plant that was special because it could not die). She agreed and the two of them tied the knot last weekend at Camp Lucy’s Ian’s Chapel in Dripping Springs, Texas.
I LOVE Badgley Mischka bridal heels! Paige has such great taste!
Paige’s bridal jewelry was Kendra Scott.
After Paige’s mom, sister, and cousin helped her into her dress, she revealed her wedding day look to her bridesmaids! I’d say they LOVED it! The flower girls were so cute with the sequin and tulle dresses! Paige’s bridesmaids prayed a blessing over her and her future marriage to John just moments before they walked down the aisle. I truly believe that every marriage should start with prayer!
Guests enjoyed a walk down memory lane with photos of the newlyweds, cocktails, laughter, and shrimp brochettes while Paige and John took romantic portraits around their gorgeous wedding venue!
Instead of a traditional guest book, Paige and John asked their guests to take a picture of themselves and leave it with a note of encouragement, blessing, and well wishes! What a great way to document all your guests!Paige and John went straight in to their first dance, which ended with a dip and a kiss!
After the BEAUTIFUL white and gold wedding cake (by Sweet Treets Bakery), covered in flowers and topped with their initial, was cut, Paige and John were toasted (and maybe just a little Roasted). Just before then, Paige’s dad recounted when John asked his blessing to marry Paige. Her dad, Frank, said he never saw it coming. John gifted him a favorite bottle of liquor (was it 18-year Jameson?), Frank asked to reimburse him. John asked to take Frank out to lunch, Frank brought his friends. John stayed the night, still not having a chance to ask his future bride’s father for his blessing. That night, when he walked into Frank’s game room, Frank finally realized something was up. Even Paige’s sister had seen all the signs (and was eavesdropping from the room on the other side of the game room wall). Frank made sure Carla, Paige’s mom, approved and the rest is history!
John’s buddies serenaded Paige to “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling.”
After the Aggie Way Hymn, all of Paige and John’s friends and family surrounded them in a circle of love and promised to always be there for them. Then, there was a GIANT group hug!
After running out through a sea of sparklers, the newlyweds left in a ’66 Mustang! Congratulations, John and Paige! We have absolutely loved working with y’all this year and wish y’all the absolute BEST in the decades to come!
