I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Katelynn and Joseph attended high school together. To get her attention, Joseph would ask Katelynn for help on his pre-cal quizzes. The funny thing was that Joseph is REALLY good at math. As in, he is getting his master’s degree in accounting level good at math. That didn’t matter, though. He really just wanted to talk to Katelynn and flirt with her and those “tricky” pre-cal quizzes seemed to do the trick! 6 years later, the two tied the knot at their cranberry wedding at The Springs in Georgetown, just miles from where their love story started.
After Katelynn’s bridesmaids had their chance to awe over how gorgeous of a bride she made, her dad had his first look with the bride, his first baby to get married! Then, the family gathered around Katelynn and prayed over her new marriage and the journey her and Joseph’s life together was about to take. There wasn’t a dry eye as the family of 5 lifted their heads in a unified “Amen!”
There was so much JOY surrounding this day! Everyone present was super excited to be there and celebrate with these two! This next photo sums up the contagious positive energy all around that day! You can’t help but smile with this next one!
The ceremony started with “Good Good Father” by Chris Tomlin. (You should play that now, as you browse the rest of their wedding images. You won’t regret it!)
There was a literal stealing of Joseph’s breath as Katelynn stepped down the aisle on the arm of her father.
For the first act of their new life as a married couple, Katelynn and Joseph shared communion together. That shows their true hearts, faith, and that they intend to put GOD first in their marriage.
YAY! Six years in the making and they’re officially married!!
The rain let up for just a few short minutes, so we snuck back out on the grass for some quick shots!
Guests entered into the blush and cranberry colored wedding reception at The Springs in Georgetown, Texas! The flowers were beautiful!
Instead of a traditional groom’s cake, Joe opted for brownies!
Immediately following Joseph’s dance with his mom, he presented her a cupcake for her birthday and the ENTIRE wedding venue sang her “Happy Birthday!” It was a sweet moment!
In honor of their winter wedding, Katelynn and Joseph exited through a blizzard of snow! :D
Katelynn and Joseph, thank you SO MUCH for inviting us into your big day! We loved being a part of this special day for you and your sweet families, who are some of the most warm and welcoming people we’ve ever met (seriously!)! Every step of this journey with the two of you has been absolutely joyful and it was a blessing to share in the happiness with your friends and family! THANK YOU!
