Welcome
Jess and Spenser had the same group of friends, but didn’t know each other. She was studying at The University of Texas in Austin while he was deployed overseas as a Marine. After hearing so many stories about this mutual friend, she looked him up on Facebook. She thought he was cute, so she added him as a friend. From overseas, Spenser saw the request and the fact that they had many mutual friends. He thought she was cute, so he accepted the friend request. They spent months chatting back and forth via social media. One night, while out with friends, Jess ran into Spenser and recognized him immediately. The two hit it off in person and started dating. I had the joy of taking their engagement photos at McKinney Falls State Park last week and this is what we got.
While on their first date, Spenser was super nervous. A mutual friend saw them that night and apologized for Spenser’s behavior and begged Jess to give Spenser another shot. However, Jess had no idea what the friend was talking about. The Chewbacca noises Spenser made had her laughing and she adored that about him. She had finally found someone she could completely be herself around and knew he was comfortable being himself around her, as well.
I’m so glad these two timed their engagement photos at McKinney Falls State Park so perfectly! How gorgeous are all those Autumn colors in the trees behind them?!?
This next image was supposed to be a funny photo! They laughed about doing the “prom pose” in reverse, so we did, for laughs. However, I think it turned out super cute! These two are such naturals!
Jess and Spenser – thank you so much for meeting me last week for your engagement photos at McKinney Falls State Park! I was already super excited for your wedding (Star Wars references, cowboy boots, and Torchy’s Tacos – hello, dream!) at Vista West Ranch, but hanging out with y’all has me looking forward to y’all’s big day even more! Y’all were so much fun and I can’t wait to meet the awesome friends that brought y’all together, as well!
