I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Ryan and Liza met at work. Their work friends kept telling them that they should date, but neither of them saw it. During a meeting, Ryan’s negative reaction to something upset Liza to the point of tears. Since she isn’t a crier, she knew, in that moment, that the only reason she was crying must have been because Ryan meant more to her than just a co-worker. She knew for 6 months before Ryan asked her to dinner. Since she didn’t know how he felt, she invited their work buddy to what should have been their first date. When the dinner date didn’t go exactly how he had planned, he texted her that he wanted to be more than friends. The conversation only blossomed from there and the two were married this past Saturday. It was a joy to be their Gardens at Old Town Helotes wedding photographer!
I love this image that Dylan captured of Liza’s dad tearing up during her wedding at the Gardens at Old Town Helotes!
After their new marriage and future together was prayed over, Ryan and Liza were pronounced husband and wife! They sealed their vows with a kiss!
Since Liza and Ryan opted for a smaller ceremony with their closest family and friends, they were able to hug on each and every one of their wedding guests! These are Liza’s grandparents, who Liza said set the example of what a great marriage should look like. They held hands pretty much everywhere they went and were so sweet to each other!
I also love the shot above, as he is shaking Ryan’s hand, but can’t take his eyes off of Liza in her wedding dress! It was precious!
While visiting his family, Ryan snuck in before sunrise to wake Liza up. He wanted to watch the sunrise with her over the pond at his family’s property to ask her to be his wife. Instead, her two girls woke up and spent the morning with Ryan at sunrise. They even ate breakfast together. Then, Ryan tried to wake Liza again. This time, she knew something was different and that what he was about to ask could be important. Ryan asked Liza to spend the rest of their lives together and she said yes.
Liza knew Ryan was the one when he continuously showed up for Liza and her girls through his actions. One of the biggest factors was that he made a sad time in her life fun. On weekends when she didn’t have her girls, Ryan would plan various adventures for Liza to take her mind off of not having her babies with her. Family is so important to both Liza and Ryan and you can tell that they are head over heels for their two girls!
Mariachi Las Coronelas had everyone smiling and dancing during the cocktail hour at Liza and Ryan’s Garden at Old Town Helotes Wedding.
Some of the kiddos at Liza and Ryan’s wedding made them a card! It was so sweet and they gathered around to watch them read it together!
There were some pretty serious dance moves at their Gardens at Old Town Helotes wedding reception! There were even a few dance offs! They had such a fun party, with what promised to be an awesome after-party, as well!
Liza and Ryan – thank you so much for inviting us to be your Gardens at Old Town Helotes wedding photographer! We could tell that your family means the world to y’all and y’all are very well loved by both of your families! It was so sweet to witness how well your two families meshed together! That is such a blessing to your marriage! We wish you all the best!
