On Thursday, Matt and Chelsea drove in from Houston for their Georgetown Engagement Photos. The two may be from and live in Houston, but their hearts belong in Austin. Austin is where their love bloomed while Matt attended The University of Texas. Austin is where Matt asked Chelsea to be his wife. Austin is also where the two will tie the knot in December. With that, it only seemed right to travel back here for their engagement session.
Matt and Chelsea met in high school. On prom night of his senior year, the two shared their first kiss. Not wanting to get involved with a soon-to-be college guy, Chelsea held her distance for two months, but Matt knew there was something special about her. Staying in contact with her throughout summer, Matt and Chelsea officially became an item on the 4th of July.
Matt woke Chelsea up super early one morning. Knowing her love for Austin, he drove while she slept in the car. She woke up in Austin at the 360 Overlook Bridge. Matt asked Chelsea to be his wife and partner in life as the sun was rising over the Texas Hill Country that September morning. Of course, she said yes to her best friend who she is head over heels for!

The pearl earrings Chelsea is wearing are her grandmothers. I love that piece of heritage! There’s just something so classic about wearing your grandmother’s pearls! 
Matt and Chelsea, thank you so much for making the drive in from Houston! I had so much fun with the two of you last Thursday! The only thing that could have made it better (besides being able to find the creek), was if you could have brought your sweet fur baby with y’all! I love that y’all have been dating for nearly seven years and cannot wait to celebrate with you this December at The Springs Georgetown!

As I sit here and look at these photos, I am amazed at your talent. I’m so glad we picked you to be our photographer.
As you already know, I’m a crier. LOL????????, while they are tears of happiness it is hard to believe that my baby girl is getting married.
We too, believe that we are gaining a son in Matt, and we just love his whole family as well.
I can’t wait for the bridal shoot. Think I’ve got the chair and a bench. Is there anything else we should need? Please advise me at ghelmly@outlook.com.

Gorgeous pictures! They look great together. I still remember when she was 12 years old. She grew up so beautiful. They look like they had a fun time taking the pictures. Love them!
