I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Amanda and Roel met at a rodeo, but 5 months later she moved for law school. They continued dating long distance and Roel did everything he could to show her he was “all in” on them being together no matter how long it took! He would surprise her with gift cards to restaurants so she could pick up an order. When she got home, they would call each other to enjoy dinner and watch the same movie “together” even though they were states apart. As her Maid of Honor said in her toast, Roel would even help Amanda’s niece at the rodeo because he wanted to be a part of Amanda’s life, even if she was currently living it outside of Texas. The sweet, small gestures won Amanda’s heart and the two tied the knot this past Saturday. It was an absolute honor to be their Hofmann Ranch wedding photographer!
For all the Harry Potter fans out there, her wine glass that she enjoyed morning mimosas with her girls as they got ready for the wedding says: “From Muggle to Mrs.”
Amanda’s dad shared a first look with the bride where she gifted him this sweet hankie for happy tears!
Amanda and Roel had the chance to get some of those wedding day jitters out with a quick first look at the church minutes before walking down the aisle. They got to hug one another and share in the excitement of the big day!
After the ceremony at the church, everyone headed to Hofmann Ranch, where the reception was being held. It’s a beautiful wedding venue in Castroville, Texas!
Eden’s Echo was Amanda and Roel’s wedding florist and she totally KILLED it! Look at those beautiful bouquets!! Erin – your work is stunning!
Amanda and Roel have huge hearts and are constantly laughing! It came as no surprise that their full bridal party was super fun! We loved our time with them!
Amanda’s mom surprised the newlyweds with a Mariachi band! It was a fun addition to the cocktail hour, that already had yard games and snacks!
While guests enjoyed dinner, we snuck outside to catch that beautiful golden hour light that happens just before sunset!
Amanda told me that some of the photos that she was most excited about would be the ones that captured Roel’s real smile. Specifically, she wanted to capture his smile when he is truly laughing! I think we accomplished that and those are some of my favorite photos!
These two are so joyful! You can’t help but smile when you’re spending time with them!
After toasts were made and the cakes were cut, the wedding guests headed outside to party the night away! It all started with Amanda and Roel’s first dance as husband and wife!
Amanda invited her dad on the dance floor and they danced to Brad Paisley’s “He Didn’t Have To Be” and I don’t think there was a dry eye when the song finished.
As a surprise to her mom, Amanda shared a dance with her, as well! It was a sweet moment and I’m so glad Amanda included this in her big day! I truly believe you should make your wedding whatever you want it to be and Amanda included an extra special dance into hers! They twirled across the dance floor to “Mama’s Song” by Carrie Underwood. Yep, totally cried during this one, too!
Amanda and Roel – Dylan and I absolutely ADORED being y’all’s Hofmann Ranch wedding photographer! From the sentimental moments with your family to the huge laughs with the bridal party, we loved every minute of it! It is so evident that y’all are loved and it is very easy to see why! With our time with you, we love you and already want to be your best friends, too! THANK YOU for inviting us to celebrate with y’all on this happy day!
