Alyssa and Cordell love Colorado.  After going on a ski trip there in 2015, they try to visit every year, winter or summer.  On one of their many hikes in Colorado, they stumbled upon a mountaintop wedding and the idea never left them.  When it came time to plan their wedding, the clear choice was a destination wedding in Vail, Colorado.  They could share their love of Colorado with their loved ones and give them an excuse for a mini-vacation. It was my joy and honor to be their Vail Colorado wedding photographer.  Here’s a peek at some of my favorites from their destination wedding.

To honor her parents’ marriage, Alyssa wore the same shoes as her mother did on her wedding day.  It was sweet to watch her mother tear up in reaction when Alyssa put her shoes on.

Cordell’s grandmother wrote Alyssa a sweet note and included a piece of her wedding dress for Alyssa to carry on her wedding day.  Cordell’s sisters pinned that token of love for their family into the inside of her dress.

As we were walking from the Gondola to the bus stop to take us from the Holy Cross Wedding Deck to The Lodge at Vail, one of the musicians called the full wedding party over for shots.  It was a fun detour and memory for everyone!

Cordell and Alyssa’s mamas were sitting next to each other during toasts and started holding hands.  It was so sweet!

There were so many stolen kisses on their dance floor!
