I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
After ten years of dating, Kayla and Colton tied the knot at their Lone Oak Barn Winter Wedding on Saturday. The bridal suite was the perfect picture of calm, as Kayla pulled out her wedding details. Each bridal detail has a special meaning to her and her family. Her perfume and pearls were her grandmothers, who couldn’t make the wedding as Heaven is just a little too far away. The boots she wore were the same ones her sister wore to her wedding. Kayla’s mom hand-stitched Kayla’s wedding veil. The heart was made out of her grandfather’s old shirt, so she could keep a piece of him close to her heart as she vowed forever in front of friends and family.
After Kayla wrote a love note to Colton on their wedding day, her bridesmaids helped her into her wedding dress.
As self-proclaimed “very county” people, it only made sense to Kayla and Colton to have a barn wedding. Lone Oak Barn in Round Rock was the perfect choice for their wedding venue! Their winter wedding was a mix of country and industrial.
Kayla and Colton’s unity candle was inscribed with 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” It’s a perfect reminder for their marriage.
Another testament to how crafty Kayla’s ENTIRE family is: Kayla’s mom put together all of theses bouquets! WOW! They’re so pretty! The mixture of cotton, white roses, lilies, and eucalyptus was just perfect for their Lone Oak Barn winter wedding!
Colton gifted Kayla this necklace on their winter wedding day. She still wanted to wear her grandmother’s pearls, so she tied the necklace around her bridal bouquet.
Kayla’s sister caught the wedding bouquet, which is pretty perfect since she is engaged and tying the knot later this Spring!
Kayla and Colton, thank you so much for inviting us to document your wedding day! It was so fun watching your friends and family cheer for y’all after a full decade of dating! We wish y’all the absolute best!
