Jamie and Matt met at work, bar-tending side by side, and became great friends.  Their first date was a sing-along at The Alamo Draft House.  After the movie, they strolled around the Texas State Capitol building.  When the time was right, on a rare shared day off together, Matt and Jamie were strolling hand-in-hand around the Capitol, again.  They sat on a bench and Matt asked Jamie to be his wife.  She said yes and the two are planning a wedding this Fall.  Here is a peek at their McKinney Falls State Park engagement photos.

In honor of their first date to the movies and their love of all things “nerdy” – Jamie and Matt brought these awesome outfit additions!  All “Star Wars” and “Harry Potter” fans unite!  Both pieces were a gift to the other.

The third time was the charm for scheduling their engagement session and I’m so glad we had the day that we did.  The weather was PERFECT!  I’ve never been able to photograph at this part of McKinney Falls, because it’s usually in full sun.  Since it was super cloudy this afternoon, we could shoot here!  Not only that, the clouds also meant that not many people were at the park, because the weather looked threatening.  We had the entire Lower Falls to ourselves and it was awesome!

Jamie and Matt made it easy for me!  They took the time to stay in the moment with each other.  They were sweet towards one another and were open to having fun during their session.  It was this slower pace that allowed me to get so many great interaction images for them!

Jamie and Matt – thank you for hanging in there through all the session date changes!  Having the park to ourselves was totally worth it!  I had an absolute blast with y’all last week and am so glad y’all were willing to have fun and try all the different ideas I threw at y’all!  THANK YOU!  I’ve been looking forward to y’all’s session for quite some time and am so glad it turned out so beautifully!
