I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Chris and Clancey met in the 3rd grade and found themselves connected to each other throughout their school years. Their mamas even joked how cute it would be if the two, while playing doubles in tennis, were to get married one day. Well, “one day” turned into September 30th in Spring Branch, Texas. I was the lucky one to be their Park 31 wedding photographer that day, 20 years in the making.
At her Woodbine Mansion Bridal session, Clancey’s mom started to cry. She and Clancey both laughed about it and said “just wait until her dad sees her” and they were right! This was such a special moment to document for this sweet family.
To honor her parents’ marriage, who were still loving and kissing on each other at their daughter’s wedding, Clancey had a piece of her mother’s wedding dress wrapped around her bridal bouquet.
Meet Chris. He and Clancey have been friends for over 20 years. They played doubles in tennis together. He was on the football team while she was a cheerleader. They carpooled to school together and went to various homecomings, dances, and proms together. Throughout those school years, Chris and Clancey never dated. He left for college out of state, but still visited Clancey when he was back in Texas. Every time he was back home, the pair always seemed to pick right back up where they left off. As Chris relocated back to Texas, it may not have been coincidence that it wasn’t far from Clancey, one of his best friends. Naturally, he invited her out to dinner, drinks, and a show. This was normal for them. This dinner, however, Chris opened his heart up to Clancey. He told her he loved her and that he would one day be her husband. This day, that promise came true and Chris and Clancey became husband and wife.
One of the thing Clancey loves most about Chris is his playfulness. These two love to have fun together, like they’ve been doing for 20 years. Even on their wedding day, his playful nature was on display and the interior of his jacket may have shown it the best.
Chris literally jumped for joy after he and Clancey busted through the church doors at St. Joseph Honey Creek as husband and wife!
Clancey loved the Texas Hill Country vibes at Park 31, so we headed back to the wedding venue for photos.
Their sweet Lilly Puppy had a cameo at the wedding!
Chris and Clancey were announced into their Park 31 wedding reception and went straight into their first dance as husband and wife.
Espresso Martinis kept this party going!
Yes, Clancey was crowd surfing in her wedding dress! These two know how to throw a party!
Chris and Clancey – thank you so much for inviting me to be your Park 31 Wedding Photographer! I’ve loved every single moment with y’all and your sweet families. Your friends and epic party made the night so much fun! Congratulations!
