Welcome
When I arrived at The Plantation House in Pflugerville for Haley’s bridal session, I knew it was going to be a great one! I have a love for all things Southern, and Southern Weddings are no exception! This venue is perfect for every Southern Bride’s dream wedding! It’s a gorgeous 3-story mansion set on a five-acre estate that is full of charm. Add a beautiful Southern bride and you have this Austin wedding photographer’s dream! I knew as I was taking these for Haley that one of her bridal portraits would be the new front cover of our bridal guide and I was right! I’ll let you know which one later in this post. For now, enjoy Haley’s Plantation House bridal portraits!
I love the black trim on the front of The Plantation House. Luanna, the owner, told me it was a recent change they had made. It really helped Haley’s white wedding dress pop!
This next shot is fierce! I love getting brides to step out of the comfort zone to try the serious face! Haley could totally rock it and I’m so glad she was willing to try! It gave her more variety in her Plantation House bridal portraits and is super classic!
Ready to know which image made the cover of our Bridal Guide?!? It’s the next one on the right! I just love it! It’s so Southern and Classic!
One of the things that I admire most about Haley is that she wasn’t worried about her wedding dress! She knew she would only wear it once, so this day she just wanted to have fun in it! There was twirling and playing with the veil and it was so much fun! Her attitude was also so great on her and Ethan’s Rustic Ranch Wedding Day, as it poured most of the morning and the ground was muddy. Haley held up her dress when she could, but didn’t sweat that her dress was going to be dirty on the bottom. She was marrying Ethan that day and nothing else mattered – not even a dirty wedding dress!
Haley’s wedding dress is one of my all-time favorites! I love that it has sleeves, but also allows for the illusion back with buttons! It’s so pretty!
There are horses at the neighbors’ of The Plantation House. Haley grew up around horses, so we were hoping to get some beautiful photos of her with horses. However, the horses weren’t excited about having their photo taken. Since we had made the trek down the driveway already, we took advantage of the gorgeous light just at sunset. I’m so glad we did, too! Haley got an entirely different “look” by shooting on a different part of The Plantation House in Pflugerville.
This next bridal photo at The Plantation House is the one Haley picked to display at her wedding.
If you’re still looking for a place to take your bridal portraits, Haley and I would both recommend The Plantation House in Pflugerville!
