I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
Parker and Amberley met in March of last year. He approached her over all the other girls at Half Step, the bar on Rainey Street where they met, because she was the cutest one wearing cowboy boots! The two are planning a wedding at Lone Oak Barn next March, on their dating anniversary! Here is a quick peek into what we captured for their Rainey Street Engagement Photos:
Their sweet pup, Whiskey, did a FABULOUS job announcing her parents’ wedding date!
Since their love story started with Half Step, we made sure to include it in their engagement session!
We made a quick trip over to Barton Springs to wrap up their photos.
I love Parker and Amberley’s proposal story! They’re currently in the process of building their first house together. On their 15 month anniversary, Parker made plans to spend time with his cousin. Amberley wasn’t super thrilled about having to share her boyfriend on their relationship milestone, but took the opportunity to show off their new house when their dinner reservations were an hour later than they had expected. She happily showed off the house and didn’t notice that Parker wasn’t going with them from room to room. He had intentionally hidden himself in a special area of their home that he had prepped earlier in the day (unbeknownst to Amberley). When she arrived, she found photos of the two of them transferred into the concrete slab with the words “Will you marry me” next to them in the foundation of their future home together. Of course, she said yes! They went out with his cousin to celebrate along with the rest of the crew who were with them the night they met. How sweet is that?!?! Parker and Amberley, thank you for introducing me to Rainey Street and for being so fun to work with! I cannot wait to see all your planning come together for your Austin-themed wedding at Lone Oak Barn next March! I know it’s going to be an event to remember – especially with the chicken and waffles for dinner! :D
