Jamie and Matt met while working together at Applebee’s.  A spot behind the bar had just opened up, so Matt soon found himself training Jamie.  The two would joke together and constantly make the other one laugh.  Their friendship bloomed and soon they found themselves roaming the State Capitol grounds the night of their first date.  It wouldn’t be long after that they found themselves in the same spot.  That is where Matt asked Jamie to be his wife and partner for life.  She said yes and the two tied the knot this past Sunday.  It was a joy to be their Ranch House at Teravista wedding photographer!

Jamie is a person who cares deeply for others and always makes sure that everyone around her feels loved.  It came as no surprise that she would take some extra time on her wedding day to write a heartfelt note to her soon to be husband!  All of her bridesmaids even had their own handwritten note from Jamie that they opened up that day, along with a wine glass to cheer the new Mr. and Mrs.

Once Jamie was dressed, Matt headed upstairs to the second floor of The Ranch House at Teravista.  There, he shared a first look with his bride.  They had a moment to get their emotions out, hug one another, and breathe in the day with the one person who was just excited as they were in that moment!  Most brides tap their groom on the shoulder as their cue to turn around.  Jamie, however, wrapped Matt up in a bear hug!

First Looks also allow couples to get twice as many portraits of the two of them on their wedding day!

These two are just the cutest!  I have SO MANY favorite moments from their day!  This is one of them!  While I was snapping Jamie’s bridal portraits, Matt was in the background just taking in the sight of his beautiful bride!

Matt picked super heroes for each of his groomsmen and groomsmaid!  They sported the figurine with their boutonnieres!

Their ceremony on the porch of The Ranch House at Teravista wedding is hands down one of my all time favorite ones!  They did ro-sham-bo to determine who said their vows first when they exchanged rings.  Their dads were invited up for a reading.  Matt cried during his vows.  Jamie promised to love Matt more than Harry Potter, Christmas, and Andy’s Custard combined!  They hugged each other whenever they wanted.  Truly, it will always be one of my favorite ceremonies for the personal touches they included to make it their own.

After toasts, Jamie danced along to “My Girl” with her fathers.  Then, Matt helped Jamie into a chair at the front of the dance floor.  He grabbed the mic from the DJ (we absolutely ADORE Andrew with Made From Skratch) and began to serenade his wife!  That brought lots of cheers, but THEN a flash mob began to dance for Jamie as Matt continued his song!  It was SO MUCH FUN!  Jamie had no idea and was completely surprised!

These two absolutely LOVE to surprise each other to make the other one smile!  After Matt’s surprise flash mob, Jamie had a surprise for Matt!  He didn’t know there was going to be a groom’s cake, but there was!  To compliment his boutonniere, Jamie’s surprise cake for Matt was Dr. Who!  I just love how they take the time to delight and surprise each other in little ways!
