Ashley and Tyler met me on their family farm for their Rockdale Engagement Session!  Getting there was no small feat, as Google Maps didn’t recognize the address AND I lost cell phone service, so trying to connect with Ashley and Tyler was not possible.  Luckily, I found their sweet property at the end of a GORGEOUS drive where trees act as tunnels over the unpaved roads.  Tyler’s grandparents own the land and use it as a gathering spot for family events.  I absolutely love the fact that these two chose a personal location for their engagement photos!

Somewhere around this point in their session, I was ATTACKED by ants.  Seriously.  I definitely wore the wrong shoes to their portrait session.  However, Tyler and Ashley are very sweet, kind people.  Ashley fought the ants off my shoes and let me stand on their blanket, so I could photograph them without being eaten alive.

This was the last of Ashley’s birthday wine. They bought it while in Napa and I think this was the perfect occasion to savor the last bottle!  Once we wrapped their photos, the two got to sit and enjoy it for a mini date night! I was a little nervous about shooting their engagement session at the end of August, but the weather turned out to be pretty nice!  It was in the 80s AND breezy in Texas!  That’s a rarity and I’m SO glad we timed their session to coincide with the nicest weather day in August!  Ashley and Tyler, thank you so much for inviting me out to your family farm in Rockdale!  It’s a beautiful property that made a perfect backdrop for your photos!  Thank you for sending me home with those delicious cupcakes, as well!  I loved mine and DID save the other one for Dylan!  That was very sweet of you both to think of us.  THANK YOU!  I cannot wait to share in your special day this fall!
