Annah’s best friend in college really wanted her to ask out this guy, Brett, from one of her classes.  Annah didn’t think much of it and was just focusing on her classes.  Towards the end of the semester, Annah ran into Brett in the campus food market line, where he was buying everyone’s purchases (trying to spend the remainder of his card balance before it expired).  He bought her water and she immediately told her best friend that she had finally met Brett.  However, nothing happened at that time, as she transferred to another college.  Fast forward 5 years and Annah matches with Brett on Bumble, a dating app where the girl is supposed to ask out the guy.  Well, Annah’s best friend from college finally saw the connection she had encouraged Annah to make happen and the two are now engaged to be married!  It was a joy to be their Salado engagement photographer Tuesday!

When it came time to propose, Brett had planned on taking Annah dancing to recreate their second date.  However, the freeze made the roads less than ideal to travel.  Many businesses had closed their doors for a few days, including the location he had picked out.  So, he decided that dancing in her kitchen just the two of them was close enough.  Brett asked Annah to be his wife in her home with her puppy, Heido Jo, as the only witness.  Of course, Annah said yes!

Meet Heidi Jo!!  She’s a year and a half and oh so cute!  I love that Annah let Heidi Jo dress up with them, too!  She has a scarf on that matches their outfits that has her name embroidered on it.

After a quick outfit change, we moved down to the river for some more scenic engagement photos.
