If you’re dreaming of a wedding that blends timeless glam with heartfelt family moments, Sara and Erich’s spring celebration at Sandlewood Manor in Tomball, Texas is for you! As a Sandlewood Manor wedding photographer, I get to witness many love stories—but this is one of my favs!
Sara and Erich planned a destination wedding in Texas, choosing Sandlewood Manor for its romantic Southern charm, breathtaking chandeliers, and lush spring vineyard. Their black-tie wedding was sophisticated glam and deeply personal—an intentional celebration where family meant everything.
Sara wrote a heartfelt thank you to each of her bridesmaids. She also gave them matching bracelets from Tiffany’s.
Sara and Erich wanted to spend as much of their day as possible with their loved ones. They included a first look, so all family, wedding party, and romantic portraits could happen before the ceremony. That meant they got to enjoy their own cocktail hour and spend even more time with their guests.
Sara and Erich’s wedding party brought the classic elegance. The bridesmaids wore floor-length black gowns that added to the refined, black-tie aesthetic, perfectly contrasting the light-filled ceremony space. Sara looked radiant in her gown, and Erich’s serenading the guests as he walked down the aisle was unforgettable.
Guests were welcomed into the elegant indoor chapel with soaring windows, white florals everywhere, and light spilling in through crystal chandeliers. But what made the ceremony truly unforgettable was the couple’s emotional touch: every single guest received a handwritten love note from the bride and groom. Imagine walking in and finding a personal message waiting just for you—there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
Sara and Erich are so much fun to be around! Erich wanted his very own entrance to the wedding, so he sang his way up the aisle!
Sara was walked down the aisle by her brother, who paused halfway to ask their mother if she gave her blessing. It was a beautiful, emotional tribute that honored their family dynamic. That same brother then officiated the ceremony, making the entire experience feel even more intimate.
Sara’s niece wrote a song that she performed during the ceremony.
Located just outside of Houston, Sandlewood Manor is a dream for couples planning a destination wedding in Texas. The venue offers both indoor and outdoor options, stunning white interiors, and plenty of space for large families to come together. As a wedding photographer who has worked across the state, I can confidently say it’s one of the most photogenic and guest-friendly venues around.
Whether you’re planning a classic black-tie affair like Sara and Erich or dreaming up something in technicolor, this venue adapts beautifully to your style.
Sara and Erich both had a second outfit change, so we did a “round two” first look. Weeks before their black-tie wedding, we met up for portraits with just the two of them. We captured their second look during a separate portrait session at Sandlewood Manor—giving them relaxed, stunning portraits without taking time away from their guests on the big day. It truly was the best of both worlds: all the emotional moments with loved ones and all the dreamy couple portraits they’ll treasure for years. For any couple considering a Sandlewood Manor wedding, this is a beautiful way to stay present while still getting editorial-style imagery.
The couple had one main goal for their wedding: make sure their guests had the best time ever.
Before the big day, they sent out a “fun checklist” to their loved ones—asking them what makes a wedding truly fun. From that list, they built an unforgettable reception that included heartfelt toasts, a packed dance floor, and even a surprise serenade duet by the bride and groom. It was equal parts sentimental and hilarious—and had the whole room singing along.
