The Blog
Nick and Kacey grew up in the same town. They went to the same church together. Their parents tried to set them up a time or two. They even went to the same university, but it wasn’t until one messaged the other on Facebook with a very simple “Hi!” that the two of them finally clicked. After months of messaging back and forth, Nick finally asked Kacey out on their first official date: his friend’s wedding in Shiner, TX! For their engagement session, we traveled back to that same sweet little Texas town where it all began. 
We had to climb over a locked gate for these photos, but I’d say it was worth it! 
Although Nick laughs that it was their “worst date ever” – he gave this beautiful ring to Kacey in New York.
Yes, Shiner, TX, is the little town with one of Texans’ favorite breweries! 
Although it is now closed, the restaurant behind Nick and Kacey in this next photo is the one they ate at on their very first date.
Nick and Kacey, thank you so much for meeting us out in Shiner, Texas! Dylan has been itchin’ to go there for a while now and you gave us the perfect excuse to go! Thank you!
