When I first meet Alura and Josh, I immediately liked them.  It was so fun to watch them recount the story of how they met and the story of how they got engaged.  Alura even sent me the full detailed story of the engagement with pictures to match (Josh gets major points for having the proposal photographed)!  While they were talking, they mentioned a bottle of wine being on the beach when Josh proposed.  What I didn’t know was that the bottle came from their favorite winery: Spicewood Vineyards.  With as much time as they spend there and having a significant part in the proposal story, Josh and Alura chose Spicewood Vineyards as their engagement session location.

We decided to start the engagement session 2 hours earlier than I normally start so we could include photos in the barrel room.  With thunderstorms threatening the entire weekend, it actually worked to our favor to start early (and indoors).  

With the two hours of rain free weather, we snuck outside and actually got some sunshine!

Josh and Alura got special permission to take photos in the grapevines.  After that, we took a few shots in the tasting room where these two introduced me to my new favorite wine!  I LOVE super sweet wines and Spicewood Vineyards’ Orange Muscat was perfect for me!  It was also the first time I’ve ever had a drink with one of our couples on duty.  :D  Thank you, Josh and Alura, for meeting me out at Spicewood Vineyards!  I had too much fun with y’all that afternoon and really enjoyed the wine!  Next time, I hope the BBQ joint isn’t closed – we’ll have to stop by!  I can hardly wait for your wedding next Spring at Twisted Ranch!  I know it’s going to be a beautiful, fun day!
