There are so many benefits to including a bridal session with your wedding photography!  It’s a great opportunity for brides to see how their wedding day look will come together before committing to it on the big day.  Brides can see how their make-up will photograph, if they like the hair style they picked, if the lipstick color is their ideal shade, and how their bouquet will look.  On top of those reasons, it’s a fabulous excuse to get all dolled up in the prettiest dress they’ve ever worn!  There have been a few times this year that I’ve wished I had way more time to photograph just the bride on her wedding day.  There are a lot of details within the dress and other attire (shoes, earrings, sentimental items attached to the bouquet) that I LOVE to photograph!  A bridal session allows me to do just that without the crazy time crunch of a wedding day.  Here are some of my favorite bridal portraits of Sydney.  We took these at St. Joseph Honey Creek Catholic Church in Spring Branch, Texas, where she committed forever to her now husband, Nick, yesterday.

Another bonus to including a bridal session is that your wedding photographer can check out your wedding venue!  I found this cute little cove of greenery behind the church that I wouldn’t have had time to explore/find on the wedding day.

Once we wrapped up pictures at the church, I knew we had everything we needed for Sydney to have great bridal portraits.  That gave us permission to just have fun when we went up the hill.  This is when the magic happens – when there’s time to have fun and just enjoy creating images!

This is a new favorite bridal portrait of mine!  It’s just so fun!
