The people you surround yourself with can influence you and the choices you make.  This past weekend was a scary one for my family: My mother in law had a TIA, or mini-stroke, reminding us that life is short and to make the most of the time you have with the people in your life.  She is a super creative person with a passion for gardening and painting.  One of the first things you’ll notice about her home is all the bright colors inside and out.  Every room in the house is a different color and there is a multitude of beautifully colored plants surrounding it.  These serve as representations of her personality: vivacious and passionate.  I can only hope that one day I will have a quarter of the green thumb she does and half the artistic insight she brings to every aspect of life.

The following photographs are of her garden.  A garden that she hand-picked each flower, placed every creature, and designed completely on her own.
