I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
I had the joy and honor of being part of The Barn at Swallow’s Eve wedding photography team for Kelsie and Cody. They traveled from Houston for their Texas Hill Country wedding. Courtney Leigh invited me to second shoot this for her and I’m so thankful she did! This was a beautiful wedding day in Fredericksburg. Here’s a peek at some of my favorites!
Kelsie and Cody decided to share a first look on their wedding day and it was so sweet! There were so many snuggles and huge smiles from both of them! The first look is usually a favorite moment for couples on their wedding day and it’s so easy to see why!
After Kelsie and Cody shared a first look, it was time to bring out their bridal party. The first look allows couples to get group photos done ahead of the ceremony, getting everyone to the party faster and this was definitely a party crowd! I loved the dusty blue colors of Kelsie’s bridesmaids dresses! More than the color palette, I adored that each bridesmaid was able to pick their own style of dress. They blended perfectly together and flattered every bridesmaid.
Kelsie and Cody had such a fun group of littles! It was so cute to watch them walk down the aisle in their flower crowns or suspenders! This is too adorable for words!
Kelsie and Cody shared communion together as their first act as a married couple. They also invited their immediate family to the altar to say a prayer over their newly formed marriage. Putting GOD at the center of their marriage is the best thing they can do.
What better way to kick off the wedding cocktail hour than with Beer Burros?!? Kelsie’s face says it all! These beer donkeys were a huge hit with the wedding guests!
This grand entrance should be telling of how they wanted the night to go: fun with lots of dancing!
The Barn at Swallow’s Eve in Fredericksburg has a fun catwalk on the second floor. I ran up there when the groomsmen starting throwing Kelsie in the air! It was a fun moment! Then, they found the mother of the bride and did it, again! They were such a fun group!
Having a band play at your wedding is always so much fun! There’s usually more crowd involvement when there’s a band. On top of that, Kelsie and Cody’s band acted as a New Orleans style 2nd line. They paraded Kelsie and Cody out through their tunnel of guests with sparkers!
Thank you so much to Courtney Leigh for inviting me to be a part of The Barn at Swallow’s Eve Wedding Photography team for Kelsie and Cody!
